Activity on untracked blockchains

Conta Finance tells you when an account starts to use a blockchain it does not track, so no history goes missing.

Where to find it:your-organization.conta.financeAccountsOwn accounts

An EVM address is the same accountA wallet or an exchange account your organization controls. on every EVM blockchainA public network, such as Ethereum or Solana, where a wallet holds assets and records its transactions.. When you add it, the wallet form selects only the blockchains where it is in use that day. If the account starts to use another blockchain later, its history there is not in your books. Conta Finance checks for this and shows an alert.

The check

Conta Finance checks each EVM account once a day. It looks at every EVM blockchain that the account does not track. An account is in use on a blockchain when it has sent a transaction there, or holds a balance there worth at least one cent.

Only EVM accounts are checked. A Solana, Bitcoin or Cosmos address can exist on one blockchain only, so there is nothing else to track.

The alert

When the check finds activity, the Own accounts tab of the Accounts page shows an amber badge after the platform marks of the account. The number on the badge counts the blockchains with activity. Hold the pointer on it to read their names.

Answer the alert

  1. On the Accounts page, select the badge. The Edit wallet window opens.
  2. Read the box Activity found on blockchains not yet tracked. Each line shows a blockchain and what was found there.
  3. For each blockchain, select Track or Ignore.
  4. If you selected Track, select Save changes.

Track

Track selects the blockchain in Blockchains tracked. Nothing is imported until you save. After you save, Conta Finance imports the full history of the account on that blockchain, and the alert goes away.

Ignore

Ignore takes effect at once, with no save. Use it when the activity does not matter to you, for example a test transaction.

The alert comes back only if the account sends a new transaction on that blockchain. A balance that grows does not bring it back, because anybody can send assets to an address. Only its owner can send from it.

Track a blockchain without the alert

You do not need to wait for the check. To track an account on another blockchain:

  1. On the Accounts page, open the menu at the end of the row and select Edit.
  2. Select the blockchain in Blockchains tracked.
  3. Select Save changes.

The form shows where the address is in use today, the same way as when you add a wallet. See Add a wallet.
