Filter and search transactions
Find the transactions you need with the search box, the date range and the filters, and keep the view in a link.
Where to find it:your-organization.conta.financeTransactions
The toolbar above the table narrows the ledger. Every filter applies on top of the working view you are in, and the tab counts change with them.

Search
Type in the box that reads Search address, hash or method…. The search finds the transactions whose sender, recipient, hash or method contains what you typed. Upper and lower case do not matter.
The search starts when you stop typing. Press Enter to search at once.
The rows do not show addresses, but the search still finds them. To find a token, use the Token filter, not the search box.
Date range
Use the date field beside the search to keep the transactions between two days. You can set only a start day or only an end day.
The quick filters
Four filters sit in the toolbar, because they do most of the work:
| Filter | What it keeps |
|---|---|
| Accounts | The transactions of the accounts you pick. |
| Platform | The transactions on the platforms you pick. |
| Token | The transactions that moved the tokens you pick. |
| Category | The transactions with a movement in the categories you pick, or Unclassified. |
Each filter opens a list with a search box. Tick the values to keep, or untick the ones to drop.
Accounts and contacts
The Accounts filter has two tabs:
- Own accounts keeps the transactions where the accountA wallet or an exchange account your organization controls. owns a movement, sent it or received it.
- Contacts keeps the transactions where the contactAn address you named that belongs to someone else, such as a supplier. sent or received.
When you pick on both tabs, a transaction must match both. For example, pick account B and contact C to see what C and B did together.
The list also has Unknown wallets, which keeps the transactions with a counterparty that is neither one of your accounts nor a contact.
To find an address that is not one of your accounts, paste it in the search box of the Accounts filter. Then select Search transactions involving.
Filter by method
Select the method at the start of a row. The ledger then shows only the transactions that called that method, and a Method chip shows in the filter row.
All filters
Select All filters to open the full list. A badge on the button counts the filters that are on in it and not in the toolbar.
| Section | Filters |
|---|---|
| Scope | Accounts, Platform and Wallet tags. |
| Asset | Token, and Token scope to keep only known or only unknown tokens. |
| Movement | Direction, Transaction type and Method. |
| Accounting | Category, Subcategory, Value, Excluded from cost basis and Reviewed. |
| The name of your ERP | State: where each row is on its way into the ERP. This section shows only when the organization has an ERP company. |
| Exceptions | Missing value only, DeFi only, Potential bridges only, Categorized by hand only and Include potential spam. |
Some notes on these filters:
- Value compares the largest movement of each transaction. Set a minimum, a maximum or both, in your organization currency or in a token, for example "over 10 ETH".
- Include potential spam is off by default. Potential spam is hidden from every view except the Potential spam tab.
- The ERP state is slower than the other filters. While it is on, the tab counts show no number.
The button at the bottom of the panel reads Show and the number of transactions that match. Select it to close the panel and see them.
How a filter matches
A filter checks one movement at a time, and the table shows whole transactions. When one movement of a transaction matches, the table shows the transaction with all its movements. For example, filter by USDC to see the transactions that moved USDC, with everything else they moved.
When you use more than one filter, they all apply to the same movement. "Category Purchase" with "Token WETH" keeps the transactions that hold one movement that is both.
Clear the filters
Each filter that is on shows as a chip in the Filtered by row under the toolbar.
- To remove one filter, select the cross on its chip.
- To remove all of them, select Clear all in that row, or Clear all filters at the bottom of the All filters panel.
Clearing keeps the working view, the page size and the row density.
Some filters come from other pages and have no control in the toolbar. For example, the Rules page opens the ledger with a Classified by chip, and the Positions page with a DeFi protocol chip. Remove them from their chip.
Share or bookmark a view
The address of the page keeps the view: the working view, the search, the dates, every filter, the sort, the page and the density. Copy the address to share the view with your team, or bookmark it. The link opens the same view, and it stays after a reload.
